ok, i didn't mean for the title to come off as cynical as it did. Microsoft has just launched a new site/program to promote the Windows Live search engine--a competitor to Google. here is a blurb about the program:
"We know you want to help change the world, that you'd volunteer to help teach refugee children around world if you weren't busy with that 9 to 5 job. But really, what can one person - perhaps a hemisphere away - really do to help? Easy, use this Live Search page.
Through March 31st, Microsoft will make a contribution to ninemillion.org to help support educational programs for refugee youth."
I've been using Windows Live for quite some time, and i have to say it does the job quite well. only on rare occassion do i need to go to Google to find what i'm looking for.
So bottom line is, give Windows Live search a try and help some folks out who have probably never seen a computer. :)
